The Hallowe'en Coven

It’s Halloween weekend, witches! 800A Bar & Cabaret summons all board game and storytelling lovers to celebrate this special time with spooky board games, creepy stories, a costume contest and special drinks from the bar!

We’ve chosen three classic mystical board games: Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Dix It!, and Werewolf. Gamers of every level are welcome! If you have a game that you wish to bring, you’re welcome to do so.

The coven will gather to share stories both fantastical and true in a cozy setup of bean bags, cushions and candlelight. The storytelling will be informal and intuitive. To make sure that every witch gets a chance to share, we ask you to limit your stories to about three minutes each. One of the coven leaders will keep track of time, and beacon for you to wrap up after three minutes have passed.

Of course, what Halloween party would be complete without a costume contest? Participation is voluntary and based on a vote-by-photo system. Cast your vote on the altar of party spirits! Prize for the best-dressed!

Data protection note:

The costume contest uses PartyVote, an app which allows participants to take a photo and submit it with a name and caption. All photos and data from the contest will be deleted immediately after the event. However, we will also take photos of the event, in general. If you do not wish to be in the photos, please let us know.

Inclusivity note:

Witch is a gender neutral term. We welcome participants of all demographics. Diversity is magic.

Those who disgrace themselves with intolerance and bigotry will be expelled from the coven and cursed. 800A strives for inclusivity, but we recognise our shortcomings. The space is not wheelchair accessible yet. If you experience anything that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please don’t hesitate to tell the event organisers or the staff.
